Its about one of our client in Abu Dhabi city, we have exported 1 Ton Hot rolled bar he wanted to buy the Bar at low price. Thus brought Bar from China, but the bar failed the test Later he brought the Bar from India, but was duped by a dummy company. The customer was under heavy pressure from the end user. He was facing a legal prosecution as had under contract obliged to complete the project within a specific time frame. He went to several big European brands but all of them offered delivery of 12-15 weeks. He again resorted to buying from a few select Indian and Korean Suppliers. We got the mail. We replied within 25 minutes. He asked for a Third Party Inspection and a 3.2 Certification. We accepted the terms. Within a span of 90 minutes we had the sales contract from the client. HASTELLOY(r) B-2 is a wrought nickel-molybdenum alloy that can be used in the ‘as welded’ condition. This alloy has excellent resistance to all temperatures and concentrations of hydrochloric acid. Additionally, it has good stress corrosion cracking and pitting resistance as well. However, due to the presence of high molybdenum content, this alloy is expensive.

Heat Treatment
HASTELLOY(r) B-2 can be solution treated at 1065°C (1950°F) and then rapidly quenched in normal conditions that require product forms to be furnished and used. In cases where bright annealed product forms such as sheet and strip are required, HASTELLOY(r) B-2 can be solution treated at 1149°C (2100°F) and then cooled in a hydrogen atmosphere so as to avoid oxidation of the bright surface.
Forging
HASTELLOY(r) B-2 can be easily forged in the temperature range of 1232-982°C (2250-1800°F).
Hot Working
HASTELLOY(r) B-2 can be hot worked.
Cold Working
HASTELLOY(r) B-2 can be cold worked.
