P20 tool steel is commonly supplied in the hardened and tempered condition. DIN 1.2311 steel also gives excellent wear resistance.

Its about one of our client in Abu Dhabi city, we have exported 1 Ton Hot rolled bars he wanted to buy the bars at low price. DIN 2311 is the Pre Hardened Plastic mould steel hardness distributed evenly in large cross sections that have excellent weldability with least hardness elevation, good mirror polishability and less streak texture making finishing easier. Size Section availability upto 255mm thickness. Supply hardness is 240-280 BHN.

Plastic mould steel equivalent to DIN 2311 use for die holders, zinc die, casting dies, backers, bolsters, injection moulds, mould frames for plastic moulds, Shoe Blocks, pressure casting moulds, recipient sleeves Etc.

1.2311 Tool steel is a German Die steel, the steel by “super clean” production process, pre hardened, showing the height of micro pure and excellent homogeneous structure, excellent polishing and light etching engraving. After heat treatment, processing and polishing performance is good, can be carried out, and can be processed, suitable for the surface treatment of chrome, material hardness even (to 400mm thick), good toughness, good mechanical processing performance. Gold microstructure is martensite and bainite structure.

 

Forging of Plastic mould steel Din 1.2311

Slowly Heat to 930-1050 °C, keep the temperature to heat thoroughly. Start forging. Finished cool slowly.

Annealing of Din 1.2311 tool steel material

Heat to 775 to 790 °C, soak enough time, ensure heat thoroughly. then cool in the  heat treatment furnace.

Quenching of 1.2311 material

820-840°C, quench in oil.

Tempering of 2311 steel grade material

Heat uniformly at the tempering temperature for 1.2311 tool steel material. keep enough time, then cool in air. Advice temperature 100 to 600 °C. more 1.2311 tool steel heat treatment data, pls contact your heat treatment supplier,

1.2311 tool steel round bar and flat sections can be cut to your required sizes. 1.2311 tool steel ground bar can also be supplied, providing a high quality tool steel precision ground tool steel bar to your required tolerances. 1.2311 tool steel is also available as Ground Flat Stock / Gauge Plate, in standard and nonstandard sizes.
