ASTM A276

 This specification encompasses cold-finished or hot-finished bars, including rounds, squares, and hexagons, and hot-rolled or extruded shapes, such as angles, tees, and channels in the more commonly used types of stainless steels.

ASTM A479

 This specification includes cold and hot finished stainless steel bars, including rounds, squares, and hexagons, and hot-rolled or extruded shapes such as angles, tees, and channels.

ASTM A484

 This specification includes wrought stainless steel bars, shapes, forgings, and billets or other semi-finished materials, except wire, for forging. The materials are available in four types of conditions.

ASTM A582

  This specification includes cold or hot finished bars, which are suitable for machining processes. This specification includes rounds, squares, and hexagons, from common types of stainless free-machining steels.

ASTM B473

  This specification includes nickel alloy bar & wire, which can be produced in a solution-annealed condition, stabilized-annealed condition, or annealed condition.

Rolled Flat Bar Cutting

Products cut include Round Bar, Flat bar, Hex bar, Square bar, Tubing and Hollow Bar, Pipe, Angles, channels, Beams and Tees.  Thickness range is 1/16" to 28" diameter

Rolled Flat Production Cutting

We can provide production cutting for product diameters up to 4".  We utilize Amanda Production Equipment to achieve these precision cuts with tight tolerances.

Rolled Flat Bar Polishing

Products polished included all tubular products, with OD & ID polishing available, Round Bar, Square Bar, Hex & Flat bar, Angles, Uneven Leg Angles, beams, and other shapes.

Cold Finish Rolled Flat Tolerances:

  • When it is necessary to heat treat or heat treat and pickle after cold finishing, size tolerance are double those shown in the table.
  • Cold-finished bars over 4-1/2 inch wide or thick are produced
    • Width and thickness tolerances for such bars are not included herein.

Why use Stainless Steel Flat Bar
  • Austenitic stainless steels are extensively used for service down to as low as liquid helium temperature (-269 deg C). This is largely due to the lack of a clearly defined transition from ductile to brittle fracture in impact toughness testing.
  • Various types of stainless steel are used across the whole temperature range from ambient to 1100 deg C.
  • The ferritic types may be limited, in practice, to lower temperatures as they have lower strengths at elevated temperatures than the austenitic types. The ferritic types can also suffer from embrittlement with extended exposure to temperatures above about 450°C.
